St. Clare Preschool & Daycare has many opportunities to be involved in our program. For more information, please select one of the links at left. For information on how to be involved in your child's classroom specifically, or with any of our annual events, see below.
Classroom Volunteer Needs
Each classroom has Room Parent Coordinators. These parents, two from each class, oversee the various opportunities and needs for their classroom. Listed below are some of the ways you can get involved.
- Reading to children at drop-off and pick-up time
- Helping a child with a learning material or new toy
- Outside play yard maintenance and improvements
- Sharing your career or interests with our children
- Helping with art projects
- Substituting in classrooms
- Cooking experiments
- Fundraising projects
- Sharing cultural customs or items
Annual Events
In addition to the ongoing classroom needs mentioned above, we have two yearly events parents and families may participate in:
- The Holiday Luncheon is held the first Wednesday in December. This luncheon is put on by parents for all staff members as a gesture of appreciation for their year-long efforts to make this preschool a special place. Parents coordinate, donate and serve food.

- Staff Appreciation Week is held the first week of June. This is an opportunity for families and children to show their teachers their gratitude and appreciation. Volunteers are always needed to coordinate efforts.
